Laura received a Bachelors Degree in Human Development from UC Davis and a Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Long Beach. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist with 15 years of experience working with children in schools, preschool through high school, across 3 states.
Cricket Speech and Language Therapy was formed to provide individualized treatment for children and families wanting specialized speech and language support. The name "cricket" comes from one of Laura's earliest memories of not being able to correctly say this word as a child. Laura strives to make communication fun, functional, and effective with a child-centered approach to therapy.
Areas of special interest include articulation and phonological delays/disorders.
Certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Currently licensed in Arizona and California.
Location
Based in west Queen Creek, Arizona near Sossaman and Ocotillo Rd. in the Legado Community.
Speech therapy sessions are conducted out of Laura's residence. A combination of in-person and virtual sessions is possible, depending on individual needs.
Sessions are currently scheduled during the school day hours, between 8:30am-2:30pm.
Cricket Speech Therapy follows all major holidays and breaks indicated in the Higley Unified School District school schedule.
